COVID-19 Chronicles, Part 18 (Hawaii)

Maui seemed like a nice place to avoid contact with other people. So we took a bunch of COVID tests and double-masked and wore face shields and bought a ridiculous amount of groceries so we didn't have to eat out the whole time we were there. As always, Hawaii was magically relaxing and filled with easy beauty. Highlights were many sea turtle sightings, serendipitously running into some friends from the Bay Area on the beach, Sadie being banned from singing any more Taylor Swift, playing in the famous Banyan tree, and burying children in the sand.

Excellent snorkel spot right outside our condo in Kaanapali

Of course Amy made the children hike, despite their pleas of "But we're on vacation!"
