Russia
Every time Amy weans a baby, we take a kidless trip to welcome us back from newborn world. This time also coincided with our 10th anniversary, so we went big and chose the biggest country that we hadn't been to yet. (China happened in 2009.)
Russia is a feast of architecture, history, theater, art, and music. Amy enjoyed it so much that she took precious few pictures to document our Russian adventure. Here are 4 of the 6 photos we came home with. The other two pictures are of restaurant receipts so we could settle accounts with our traveling companions (some of Amy's siblings, one of whom conveniently speaks Russian). Below you'll see St. Basil's cathedral, the Mariinsky theater, the opening of St. Petersburg's bridges, and the whole crew at Peterhof. If you're interested in more photos and a much more detailed description of our trip, Amy's sister Michelle can provide that.

Love the tradition. And I love that you only took 4 pics. I wonder if you would have taken more if your traveling companions hadn't been using their camera? Congrats on making it there & back unscathed :)

I love that you only took 4 pics! Sometimes I think we are so busy documenting we miss out on the joy of the adventure. Some of my favorite memories have little to no documentation.
