Birthday Luck

We spent birthday week in Newport Beach with cousins. Sadie decided that she wanted to spend her special day at the arcade. Paul warned her that spending quarters on that silly Sponge Bob game was a good way to waste a bunch of quarters, but birthday luck came through, and she won the jackpot. Her joy was only exceeded by the amount of time it took her to deliberate how to spend all those tickets, one tootsie roll at a time.

For James's birthday, we went to a Major League baseball game. Birthday luck pulled through again when we serendipitously attended on Free Hat Day. Next year maybe we'll buy lottery tickets on their birthdays.
