The End of Bad Luck

Seven years ago today, Amy was getting ready for her wedding, which was scheduled for the next afternoon. While trying on her wedding dress one last time before the big day, she lifted a full-size mirror off the back of a door in order to get a better view of the dress. As she maneuvered the mirror for a rear view, it slipped from her hands and shattered, thus beginning her marriage with seven years of bad luck. Now that the bad luck is over, we can take stock of just how bad our luck has been since July 2004:
  • two master's degrees (one for Amy, one for Paul)
  • three children, a house, and a minivan
  • trips to England, China, and Germany
  • 239 adventures immortalized in blog posts
Clearly, that shattered mirror has been haunting our lives. Here's to some better luck.

  • If that's life with bad luck, imagine how awesome the next few years are going to be. Oh, and Happy Anniversary.

  • Doesn't sound like bad luck to me! Just the opposite. Happy Copper Anniversary!

  • maybe you should open a bunch of umbrellas inside your house and then walk under a bunch of ladders for your anniversary celebration.
