Fire Time

On our camping trip this weekend, James spent at least two solid hours poking at the fire, making what he calls a "fire stick," a smoldering stick that leaves cool trails of smoke in the air. This kind of mesmerizing fire time is just the sort of thing Amy and Paul encourage. In fact, Paul set an excellent example for the children by deliberately and cheerfully charring marshmallow after marshmallow into carbonic oblivion.

  • Would you guys be up for camping with us at Redwood on July 22, 23 and show us some of your smoldering tricks? We'll drive in on Friday night and leave Monday, but we'd love to connect with your fantastic adventures for once!

  • That's the best part of camping for a kid! It's not camping with out near facial burns.
