Final Assessment

Despite the nightly fiascoes, we've decided to call our Yosemite trip a success. All told, we logged over 20 miles of hiking, saw some astounding scenes (Cathedral Lakes, Cathedral Peak, Dog Lake), enjoyed perfect weather for our daily wanderings, and sustained only one injury (a shiner that Sadie acquired in a run-in with James).

  • Those big rosy cheeks and that pouty lip . . . I think James was jealous. :)

  • How fun to have a Amy and Paul family vacation. We took our little family to Yellowstone last year but this year we were crowded out by other family reunions. Way to go. I'm glad someone is enjoying the outdoors with your kids. At the beginning of the summer I had a goal to go backpacking/camping every weekend, did it happen.... NO! We have only gone hiking a couple of times and have not once gone on an over night. How sad... Aaron has been sooooo busy with school and work that he's not around very often to come with us. Oh well, maybe next summer!

  • um...I want a new entry. I haven't seen any new pictures of the kiddies in far too long. Plus I keep hearing about James and the diggers, but I haven't seen anything...maybe you're making it all up.
