Gratitude Hike

Up until three years ago, the traditional Bankhead Thanksgiving included a multi-day camping trip somewhere spectacular. A combination of freezing temperatures and a growing family made us revise that tradition. Fortunately, Amy's favorite non-profit organization, Stroller Hikes, provided a perfect replacement. Every Thanksgiving morning, several families get together for a perfectly kid-sized hike to a spot that overlooks our Silicon Valley home. We work up our appetites and our gratitude for a beautiful place to live, and we arrive home just in time to put the turkey in the oven.
