Sequoia National Park
Just a few hours and a few thousand vertical feet after our bear-sighting, our hiking brought us to the pristine Heather Lake. In the near-freezing temperatures and the howling wind, Amy and Paul enjoyed a delicious snack of apples and cheese and crackers. James, however, would eat nothing but Doritos and M&Ms picked out of the trail mix. His poor nutritional choices came back to haunt him, however, when the winding drive back down the mountain caused him to puke up his colorful snacks.

Oh poor James. My boys can relate to the poor nutritional snack dilemma. Like the time Zac almost ate a full size box of Whoppers. That's why I travel with grocery sacks. So they have something to throw-up into.
